"What distinguishes us from the animals is our ability to accessorize" (Steel Magnolias)
Women of CCC, please join us at the church on Saturday, February 18th from 9-11am . We'll have coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and bagels. Bring your no longer used accessories...scarves, belts, shoes, jewelry, etc. to exchange with others who bring the same. We will have a donation jar to raise scholarships funds for the April Retreat. If you have nothing to bring, come anyway and enjoy an opportunity to gather together. Your mothers, girlfriends, sisters and women neighbors are welcome. Any questions, email Ginny Wardell at ginny.wardell@gmail.com

Come join a new intercessory prayer group with a focus on prayer to end violence, for this city, and the faithfulness of believers.  We will meet Monday nights (starting Feb 6) from 6:30 - 8 pm at Laurie Jean and Lydia 's house. Please contact Laurie Jean at 434-284-0008 or lauriejean.seaman@gmail.com for directions.  God calls us to take up the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6), to join Him in proclaiming liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind (Luke 4), and to pray without ceasing for an end of oppression (Isaiah 59). From sexual harassment to rape, from bullying to murder, from subtle racism to hate crimes and terrorist acts, from verbal abuse to physical abuse, from neglect to abortion, our community is tormented daily by the works of the devil that cause violence to thrive among us, but God is moving! ALL are welcome to join in prayer, not only against violence, but also for the Church, the city, and wherever God will lead. As the Church prays, we CAN be part of God's work and turn the tide!
