Strategic Prayer Requests:

1. Pray that God would find an obedient and unified church open to the moving of His Spirit.
2. That Bill and the leaders would have wisdom and discernment as they lead; to make wise
    decisions especially as they budget for the 2009/2010 fiscal year.
3. That we would be salt and light in the community.

Intercessory Prayer:

The Intercessory prayer team Sunday mornings from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. for corporate intercession. 

From Acts 2:42 it is evident that the believers 'continued steadfastly in the Apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread and prayers'. The scripture and the testimony of the early church indicate that prayer is included in the four foundational elements that constituted the visible functioning of the church. This is no different today. If they who were eye-witnesses of the resurrection deemed prayer to be vital to the life of the emerging church, how much more is prayer essential in our day some 2000 years removed. Yet the same Holy Spirit who empowered them is He who also quickens and empowers us to continue in this vital but so often neglected ministry. Prayer is the language of faith that offers to God the incense of witness that the death and resurrection of His Son Jesus are not in vain but that what He has accomplished in Christ has indeed taken root in the earth and calls forth the coming of His Kingdom in that same resurrection power and dynamic, released in the early church to the end that this Gospel of the Kingdom should be preached in all the world for a witness of His glory.
